I have been playing mathematically since I was a toddler. I am the youngest of three math kids–my brother works in finance and my sister just finished a PhD in Number Theory. I credit my dad with our deep-seeded relationship with mathematics, and I think a big part of it was when we were very little. We were constantly counting and playing games and solving puzzles. Card games, dice games, board games, word games, guessing games, whatever.

Growing up, I was a serious game-player. Over the years, I’ve been in various levels of obsession with chess, bridge, poker, and a brief stint with World of Warcraft. Nowadays, I’m much more likely to be spending my time working on art projects than playing games.

I travel as much as I can, and I have a driving couch.
